Effective January 2022
Our goal here at Technicate is to help you and your team do your best work, every day. To do this, we try to keep our products and services running smoothly, quickly, and without distraction. For this to happen, we need help from you, our users. We need you not to misuse or abuse our products and services.
To describe exactly what we mean by “misuse” or “abuse” – and help us identify such transgressions, and react accordingly – we’ve created this Acceptable Use Policy. Under this Policy, we reserve the right to remove content that is inconsistent with the spirit of the guidelines, even if it’s something that is not forbidden by the letter of the policy. In other words, if you do something that isn’t listed here verbatim, but it looks or smells like something listed here, we may still remove it.
You’ll see the word “services” a lot throughout this Policy. “Services” refers to all websites owned or operated by Technicate, and any related websites, sub-domains and pages, as well as any cloud services operated by Technicate.
Here’s what we won’t allow:
Disruption
- Compromising the integrity of our systems.
- Tampering with, reverse-engineering, or hacking our services, circumventing any security or authentication measures, or attempting to gain unauthorized access.
- Modifying, disabling, or compromising the integrity or performance of the services or related systems, networks, or data.
- Deciphering any transmissions to or from the servers beyond that allowed in your agreement.
- Overwhelming our infrastructure by imposing unreasonably large loads, such as:
- Using “robots,” “spiders,” “offline readers,” etc. to overload servers.
- Going beyond documented use parameters for services.
Wrongful activities
- Misrepresentation, spoofing, impersonation, or falsifying affiliations.
- Violating others’ privacy by publishing or collecting personal data without permission.
- Stalking, harassing, or threatening users.
- Illegal use of services or in violation of laws.
- Scraping or accessing services in unsupported ways.
- Using hidden text or meta tags with Technicate's trademarks.
Inappropriate communications
- Sending spam, chain letters, or unsolicited content.
- Commercial solicitation of users without permission.
- Disparaging Technicate, partners, or affiliates.
- Promoting unauthorized third-party services.
Inappropriate content
- Posting content that:
- Infringes IP rights or contractual rights.
- You do not have permission to post.
- Is illegal, obscene, threatening, or hateful.
- Encourages unlawful conduct.
- Attacks protected characteristics.
- Includes malware or harmful code.
- Is intended to provoke or harm others.
In this Acceptable Use Policy, the term “content” refers to any material you provide to Technicate or upload to our services, including text, code, images, and data.
Technicate reserves the right to suspend or terminate user accounts at any time, without notice, if this Acceptable Use Policy is violated.
